Rasasi Hawas for Him vs Hawas Black vs Hawas Ice: Which Should You Buy?

PerfumeSpecs Guide · Rasasi

Rasasi's Hawas line has grown from one bottle into three distinct fragrances — the original Hawas for Him, the darker Hawas Black, and the lighter Hawas Ice. They share a family resemblance — fruity top notes over an amber-woody base — but wear very differently once they settle on skin. Here's exactly how they differ, note for note.

How each one actually wears

Hawas for Him is the fresh, fruity-aquatic original — apple and citrus up top, softened by cardamom and orange blossom, resting on a warm ambergris-driftwood-musk base. It's the most versatile of the three and the easiest recommendation for someone trying the line for the first time.

Hawas Black trades the aquatic brightness for pineapple and grapefruit over cedarwood, jasmine and patchouli, finishing on amber and oakmoss. It sits noticeably heavier and more "nighttime" than the original — closer to a fruity-woody scent than a fresh one.

Hawas Ice pushes in the opposite direction: frozen apple, Italian lemon, Sicilian bergamot and star anise up top, kept light all the way down with driftwood, moss and musk instead of Hawas for Him's ambergris. It's the coolest and most office-safe of the three.

FAQ

Is Rasasi Hawas Black stronger than Hawas for Him?
Hawas Black leans darker and more woody thanks to cedarwood, oakmoss and patchouli in the base, so it reads as heavier and more intense than the brighter, fruitier original Hawas for Him.
Which Rasasi Hawas is best for hot weather?
Hawas Ice is built for heat — its frozen apple, citrus and marine facets are noticeably lighter and fresher than Hawas for Him or Hawas Black, which both lean warmer.
Can I wear Hawas for Him in winter?
Yes — its ambergris, driftwood and musk base gives it enough warmth to work in cooler weather, though Hawas Black's woodier profile is an even better cold-weather match.
